How long until it blows up? Otherwise it's a nice car, but I don't know about NP...

CP. Although HPF have a good reputation it is still a tuner car with almost 100k miles for $38k. I think the right price would probably be closer to $30k

That's what I was thinking. It's a great price it if doesn't break. But being aftermarket, I can't trust it.

Almost akin to buying a grenade right after the seller pulled the pin.

One 1 hand, it's an e46 M3, which is looking to be in great shape, which makes me say NP. Then you look on the inside, and see how much surgery this thing has been through, plus the fact that this looks like it's going to break at any time because it's a tuner car, which can't make me trust it, tells me its a CP. 38k also to me is CP.

Exactly. You just have to do things right when you mod a car.

The Exclamation Point Crack Pipe Theory (which I just made up) says that for every exclamation point above one, the likelihood of a CP increases by a factor of seven.

Yeah, it has 700hp...but damn is it peaky. I don't think I'd buy it to drive around, personally.
Even if the price WERE reasonable... I mean cmon, you can buy 20 miatas for that price. That's 2000hp.

Jeezus. Apparently nobody here has ever heard of HPF. They were absolutely the biggest name in turbo M3s ever. They've built tons of cars...never had a problem. Their kits were the result of lots of money and thousands of hours of R&D work. This is hardly some guy hacking it together in his garage. They're bulletproof.
Also, if you took the time to look up a video of one driving, they are not insanely peaky, especially at stage 2.5. Drivability is also as good or better than stock. Read before you say things that aren't true.
